And on into Christmas...

The other day my family (and Jane) decorated for christmas... Here is just a little peek on how it looks:

(sorry some of the pictures are kind of dark...)

Ok well maybe more how we look holding the decorations..haha. The pictures were sweet so I had to post them:)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This Thanksgiving was a little bit different than most of yours. It was our first year in 15 years that our family did not go to Washington to celebrate. Instead we stayed at home and had some people over.

My mother, as usual, went all out and cooked for at least 7 hours (this does not include the turkey)
Jane came over and was crazy as usual:)
Micheal, Aden and Anna also came over. We always love spending time with them!

What made our Thanksgiving so different was we deep fried a turkey and, hands down, it was the best turkey I had ever had (joff and illy came and he said so to)!
You have to set it all up outside so that you don't blow up your house...
And this is the finished project...the coolest thing is that it only takes about 30 minutes!
This Thanksgiving was definitely a sucsess and though I miss my relatives in Washington I had a great time here!!

FINALLY FALL!!!

Well this time of the year is offically my favorite and becomes even more so every year. I love all of the amazing colors, the only part I don't like is the cold weather but I guess I can deal with it:) So here is just a few pictures of some fall colors, not edited (that's why some of them are so bad).

This first one is just off our car window... just messing around:)

A few mornings ago I woke up to this spectacular (biggest word of the week:) view and had to take a few pics

These next two are my favorite!! We have some flowers in our yard that bloom in the fall...they are pretty amazing again no editing!!!

Have an amazing fall!!!

Eyelyn Ada McMillan

This post is dedicated to a life well lived. A life that was a good example, leader and inspiration. Eveyln Ada McMillan, Febuary 14, 1908 - September 10, 2011, She was my great grandmother and was 103 when she died; she definitely lived it well.

She is about 19 in these next 3 pictures.

This is a car she bought for her parents.
Her husband, Jim McMillan, died in 1987. She met him when she began teaching and he was the pricipal at the school. School teachers where not supposed to get married so they where married secretly. This picture is at their 50th anniversery.
In this picture she is farthest to the right in the striped shirt, my dad is the tallest one in the back as usual:)
Evelyn at my dad's graduation from Linfeild College.
Family picture, she is the one with the amazing striped pants to the right. My dad is farthest to the left with the red shirt (not the kid with only half of a shirt on).
Her highschool graduation.

Thanksgiving 2009- Evelyn and her desscendants- two children with six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Alright, here is my much promised post!! I have been a ton more busy than during the summer but i guess that's expected with school and everything. My prediction is that there is not going to be quite as many posts until next summer but I will do my best; lets just enjoy this one:)

These pictures include these events:
  • Vistiting My 2nd Cousins
  • Babysitting my Other Cousins
  • Rainey's Bday
  • and another random pic
The pictures go in order of most recent to not so much. I will explain them as I go.

Raineys Bday:
For Rainey's Bday some of us girls went to the beach to celebrate. We had a blast!! We also pulled our first all nighter! lol The first few pics are from her family birthday then the rest is just us girls.

Drew and his Oakleys
All the sunset pictures I did nothing to and look how amazing they are!! Go to the beach and see it for yourself!!
This is where Drew got his inspiration
Sporting the running sunglasses!! Heck ya!

This was a sweet log out in the ocean. We were a little nervous because Becky had showed us Soul Surfer. It's a movie about a shark eating a girls arm off...it is actually a really good movie!

Skin Boarding
Ignore my big head that looks extremely gross and look at everybody else!

From Right: Grace, Moriah, Jessica, Rainey, and Audrey. Destiny is taking the pic. Those are all the girlys that went:)
Mo/ Moriah's fine establishment
Squish the birthday girl!!!
Me chillin with that same birthday girl
We walked around on the beach taking cool pics. Destiny and i switched off taking pictures or we just asked random people to do it for us.

BLOW!!! BLOW!!!
Sorry Rainey my bad photography got you with your eyes closed:(
Babysitting My Cousins, Maddy and Danny

For a week I babysat my cousins from Vancouver. They are good kids and we had a ton of fun!!!

Danny was always trying to beat up Ellen and for a little guy he took her pretty well
His sister Maddy has learned how to avoid it, ignore it or get him off of her pretty well.
One of the days we went to Evergreen Aviation Museaum...They loved posing in the western area!!!
LET 'ER BUCK
A little energy at work
Here they are with Will Smith (I think thats his name...) the insperation of Evergreen.
This was there favorite part: the ride. They went on in at least 5 times and they tried to go on it the sixth time but the guy running it said most people only get one ride per trip :p

The day we picked them up in Vancouver they were playing a baseball game (it's co-ed)

The catcher pretty much just chills the whole time he's out there.
When Maddy walked up to bat she looked like she was 70 years old but then the ball came towards her and she hit it the farthest out of everybody!!

Vancouver
More Cousins:

These kids are Maddy and Danny's step sisters kids. They are the cutest things!!! Loved them at first sight!

This is the older one She just turned one, and I'm holding the younger one below she is 4 months old.

This is my Dad and Ellen on a casual Satuday. I was doing Homework and I looked over and ellen is just sitting there watching my Dad do some work:) lol Now you have a little taste of what McMillan's are like!

Okay thats it for now! Hopefully I'll post again soon:) I need to get my camera fixed though...
